And in the End, The Love You Make…

As the hour glass empties on 2012, I would like to wax sentimental on its last remaining moments.  You may recall January 2012, marked the launch of our blog – with the goal of finding tangible examples of where we feel beauty in our five physical senses. Starting deep in the heart of enchantment, we chose Cirque du Soleil – as our canvas.  Since then, we have been marbling it with a variety of vibrant textures. Santa Invasion

We would like to introduce you to our house guests…Father Christmas, St. Nicholas, Santa Claus, baba, and Papai Noel.  Babbo Natale will also be joining us from Italy along with Kris Kingle and Pere Noel from France.   They show up every year.

You Say Po..ta..to, I Say Po..tato Chip

If you’ve ever spent time on a potato farm, you know just how dull the view is outside your window – during its growing season.   Neatly cultivated rows of the finest potatoes stretch over flat fields- as far as the eye can see.  In this continuum of conformity, future potatoes are quietly cultivating into perfect potato chips. Turning humdrum into yum, yum.

Zoo Kingdoms

It’s December.  A busy month with the shortest daylight hours in the Northern Hemisphere.  Whose flowers  – the holly and crimson red poinsettia – now deck the halls with holiday cheer. ‘Tis the season to be jolly, after all.

In celebration, we decide to travel south, passing through the charming seaside town of Encinitas, California.(In 1923, the Ecke family moved their poinsettia cultivation business here, establishing a virtual monopoly in this speciality throughout the United States until the 1990s). Our destination today is the world-famous San Diego Zoo.
